Skilled Gardening

Qualified in Horticulture with the RHS and over 11 years’ professional experience, I bring strong plant knowledge and practical skill to every garden.

My horticultural approach supports expert pruning, organic pest and disease management, improved soil health, compost production, and the careful training of climbers, fruit trees and pleached forms.

I have created and maintained trained fruit in forms such as espaliers and cordons, and have worked extensively with mature and structural planting. My experience also includes restoring a heritage garden now featured in the National Garden Scheme.

Garden Design

I offer thoughtful, creative garden design tailored to each client’s needs, from small spaces to large, complex gardens. Every project begins with careful listening and a clear understanding of how you want to use and experience your garden.

I provide services ranging from full garden design to detailed planting plans, using a combination of digital layouts and hand-drawn sketches where appropriate. I also act as project manager, coordinating trusted landscapers and fencing contractors while overseeing the work to ensure a high-quality finish.

Clients are involved at every stage of the process, from initial concept through to completion and aftercare, ensuring the garden establishes and thrives. With the UK’s changing climate in mind, irrigation is considered and integrated at the design stage where needed, making long-term care simpler and more efficient.

Horticultural Consultation

If your garden isn’t looking or performing as it should, a professional consultation can quickly identify the causes and provide a clear plan of action.

During a site visit, I assess the overall health and structure of the garden, looking at issues such as pest and disease problems, unsuitable or overcrowded planting, soil condition, and irrigation needs. I then provide a written report with practical, prioritised recommendations to help your garden thrive.
