About Rachel Newson
Rachel Newson is an RHS-qualified horticulturist with over 11 years of professional experience working in private gardens and country estates. She holds an RHS Level 2 qualification and is currently studying towards Level 3, driven by a genuine fascination with plants and a love of continually developing her craft.
She specialises in horticulture-led garden design and care, creating sustainable, organic gardens that thrive naturally over time. Her approach focuses on soil health, thoughtful plant selection and biodiversity, allowing gardens to become more resilient and better able to manage pests and disease without chemicals.
Rachel has experience in everything from detailed planting design and nurseryman skills to the restoration of heritage gardens, including one now featured in the National Garden Scheme. She also holds a degree in Design, Art and Art History, which informs her eye for structure, balance and composition within the garden.
Based in Maidenhead, she works with clients across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, offering garden design, expert care and horticultural consultations tailored to each garden’s needs.
